Violence and physical abuse
There are a broad range of behaviours that come under the definition of physical abuse.
Violence and physical abuse can be directed at you or at family, friends, or pets.
Physical abuse may include:
- Hitting, punching, kicking or shoving you
- Spitting at you
- Strangling you
- Pulling your hair
- Making angry or physical threats towards you
- Physical intimidation
- Biting you
- Burning you
- Throwing things at you
- Using weapons on you
- Forcing you to use drugs and/or alcohol
- Depriving you of sleep
- Hurting your pet
- Invading your space
